The Road to Emmaus

Soon after Christ's crucifixion, two disciples walked the road to Emmaus, troubled and uncertain. Along the way, “Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; but they were kept from recognizing him.” Later, when their eyes were opened, they exclaimed, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:13-30, NIV).

We too live in dark times. As Paul warned, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12, KJV). Mainstream cinema—one of the most influential forces in our culture—often magnifies this darkness.

In response to these challenges, we believe that a deeper communion with God through His Spirit is the key to healing hearts, transforming lives, and bringing light to the world. Inspired by the journey to Emmaus, Emmaus Road Media is dedicated to creating inspiring stories through film and storytelling.
